Description

Blue Notes is a simple songbook for the harmonica.

It translates your notes into harmonica tabs, transforming the iPhone into the perfect companion for one the most portable instruments.

If you are not playing the blues harp, instructions like "4 4 -4 4" might be irritating for you — but as the overall design of Blue Notes is very flexible, fans of guitar or piano may be able to get output in their favored format with a future upgrade (it won't help you carry those instruments, though).

As alternative to harmonica tabs, Blue Notes already supports textual output ("A B D C#") — and it can handle lyrics (even if it is very hard to play harmonica and sing in parallel ;-).

This release has only limited support for editing: Blue Notes can transpose whole songs, but to fill its database, it relies on the popular ABC-Format. This allows you to choose from several thousand files that are freely available, and as ABC is easy to understand, you can create your own tunes in minutes.

I hope you consider Blue Notes useful in the current state - but there are plenty of ideas for further development, so watch out for new versions, or submit your own wishes!

Don't Work Don't Waste Money

:
I don't care for downloading note from a site! But you can't that doesn't work! What pissed me off was you can't enter notes either! Which make this app as useful as the iPhone flashlight app, but at least that one is free!
